Network meetings

Description

The 3rd annual meeting opened with a view of GABRIEL's main achievements to date and took stock of the ReST-ACMI project. The Thursday morning session was devoted to the pneumonia surveillance pilot study, with a discussion of new tools followed by presentations by different countries describing their experiences. Other topics covered during the meeting included biomarkers of respiratory tract infections, TB multidrug resistance, and zoonotics and emerging diseases in Singapore. On Friday, the final day of the meeting, the Steering and Research Committees made presentations. A round table on a respiratory theme and two workshops were also organized – one on biosecurity and another on multicentric studies.
