Among them are countries where GABRIEL network teams are present such as the Centre d'Infectiologie Charles M\u00e9rieux in Madagascar, the University of Asuncion in Paraguay, the Rodolphe M\u00e9rieux Laboratory in Brazil, and the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research in Bangladesh. To strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing, a Leprosy Journal Club was recently launched. This initiative brings together researchers working on this topic, with the purpose to critically discuss a published paper from scientific literature in the field of leprosy. Each member takes turns presenting a paper during a remote meeting. The presentations are followed by interactive Q&amp;A sessions, fostering discussion and highlighting shared research interests.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the articles discussed in recent sessions include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Interruption of persistent exposure to leprosy combined or not with recent BCG vaccination enhances the response to <em>Mycobacterium leprae<\/em>-specific antigens<\/strong><br><em>PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases<\/em><br><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1371\/journal.pntd.0005560\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read article<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Encouraging on-time completion of leprosy patients&#8217; treatment: implementing E-Leprosy Framework in primary health care in Indonesia<br><\/strong><em>Asia-Pacific Journal of Public Health<\/em><br><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1177\/1010539519847355\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read article<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Blood RNA signature RISK4LEP predicts leprosy years before clinical onset<\/strong><br><em>EBioMedicine (The Lancet Discovery Science)<\/em><br><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.ebiom.2021.103379\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read article<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Journal Club is open to all GABRIEL members interested in leprosy research.
